Micro Magnetics Ships First Microscope.

Micro Magnetics announced the shipment of its first scanning microscope to a University Partner for use in the study of magnetic tagging in immunoassay. This achievement represents a si~nificant milestone for Micro Magnetics, and is a key step forward toward introduction of our Circuit Scan ~ 1000 microscope, a failure analysis tool for integrated circuits, planned for market introduction in July 2003, said Micro Magnetics President and CEO, John Miller. Micro Magnetics is developing a scanning magnetic microscope to address the growing challenge of nanoscale non-visual defects (NVDs) in Integrated Circuits (IC s).

About Micro Magnetics, Inc.

Micro Magnetics is a privately held company, founded in 1998 by Dr. Gang Xiao to pursue advanced development of technology emanating from his research at Brown University. The company won, and successfully implemented a Phase I, SBIR award which proved the concept behind scanning magnetic microscope technology. In 2002, the company was recapitalized as a Delaware Corporation, and initial funding obtained to develop the Scanning Magnetic Microscope. The company headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in the University of Massachusetts Advance Technology and Manufacturing Center in Fall River, MA.
