According to Dr. Gail Berman, Director of the UMass Dartmouth Career Resource Center “The theme for this year's expo is ‘There's no elevator to success, you need to take the stairs'. Job seekers that participate in the Expo will find this proverb in the fortune cookies handed out at the event.”

Recruiters from around the region will attend, offering full-time, part-time, internship and co-op opportunities. More than 75 companies are expected to attend. A complete list of participants is available via the Career Resource Center, located in Group I on the ground level, or at the web-site www.umassd.edu/crc.

"Campus recruiting is a strong indicator that the economy is on the mend,” said Berman. “Nationally, on-campus recruiting is up 13% (NACE), and UMass Dartmouth is projecting a much rosier future for this year's 2004 graduates."

All students and alumni who are seeking employment or career information are encouraged to attend. Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes and to dress appropriately.

Anyone interested in receiving additional information should contact the Career Resource Center via telephone at 508-999-8658.
