Second Half Lifelong Learning @ 50 + Program to Host Open House Sept 8 for Study Groups

The Second Half Life Long Learning @ 50 + program will host an open house Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m., at the UMass Center for Professional and Continuing Education, 139 South Main Street, Fall River. The facility is located in the former Cherry and Webb Building, first floor.

UMass Dartmouth’s Second Half Lifelong Learning @ 50 + Program to Host Open House Sept 8 for Study Groups 

The Second Half Life Long Learning @ 50 + program will host an open house Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m., at the UMass Center for Professional and Continuing Education, 139 South Main Street, Fall River. The facility is located in the former Cherry and Webb Building, first floor. 

The Second Half: Lifelong Learning @ 50+ is an innovative program to engage South Coast adult learners in higher learning. The fall session, beginning Sept. 27, will offer 13 study groups. Topics cover a variety of interests such as "Playreading Plus!" with Jeanne Cassidy, "Writing from the Heart" with Peter Crysdale, "Rare Earth" with Jack Edwards, "Modern Dance Appreciation" with Beth Easterly and "Finding New Meaning in Aging" with June Johnson. 

The Sept. 8 open house will give prospective students an opportunity to meet the study group facilitators, learn about the various study group opportunities and meet other students over coffee, tea, and cookies. Don Trischler from the Institute of Lifelong Learning, Salem State College, will be the guest speaker.
