When: Tuesday, April 12 at 7 p.m. 

This program has always been a crowd pleaser. The Percussion Ensemble’s tradition of playing music from around the world will continue this year. El Caribe a local steel band made up of UMass students and faculty will play music from Trinidad and Brazil. Santi Debreano and the Latin jazz group Sounds of Ashe with its “hot” rhythm section captivated the audience last year. They are back with new sounds and songs from all over Latin America and the Caribbean. The Percussion Ensemble will also be debuting their own composition Infomercial which features household appliances. This popular concert is for any age and is free.
