UMass Dartmouth postpones Community Appreciation Day from September 23 to October 20 Due to the tragic events last week, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Chancellor Jean F. MacCormack has postponed Community Appreciation Day until Saturday, October 20. The event, which was scheduled for Sunday, September 23, will coincide with the annual Homecoming Weekend.

Honorary doctorate to renowned literary critic Harold Bloom on September 14
Celebrated literary critic Harold Bloom will be awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in a special ceremony on Friday, September 14. Nobel laureate, Dr. Jose Saramago, himself the recipient of an honorary doctorate from UMass Dartmouth in 1999, will participate.
