(UMD SNA)

UMD College of Nursing is offering you a unique opportunity to become a
member of the UMass Dartmouth Student Nurses Association.  UMD SNA
is a constituency of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA), as
well as the Massachusetts Student Nurses Association (MaSNA).

NSNA and MaSNA are preprofessional organizations operated by and
for nursing students.  NSNA offers you many programs, discounts on
products (NSNA Journal, Imprint), services (e.g., liability insurance),
and leadership opportunities.  Membership fees are very reasonable.
UMD SNA is an excellent vehicle for involvement in your chosen profession.

The UMD SNA is involved in a number or philanthropy projects at UMass
Dartmouth.  We hold a blood pressure screening and a blood drive every
semester.  We participate in many walks in New England, including the
Relay for Life held here at Umass Dartmouth.

UMD SNA has previously been involved in toy drives for a New Bedford
daycare that burnt down, a supply drive to send to troops fighting overseas,
and has put on numerous events to benefit the American Cancer Society,
as well as the American Heart Association.  UMD SNA has had members
attend national conventions across the United States, as well as state conventions
held in the Boston area.  UMD SNA is a great way to become involved in the
College of Nursing and gain leadership skills that are valuable to every nurse!
