Curriculum

Courses in Educational Policy are designed to develop each student's critical understanding of educational issues and institutions. Students must complete 12 total credits (four courses) including:

Two required courses:

  • POL 500 Public Institutions and the Policy Process (Fall, Spring)
  • POL 570 Social, Historical and Philosophical Foundations of American Education (Fall)

Two electives from the following:

  • POL 542 Law and Education (Fall)
  • POL 561 Public Finance in Education (Spring)
  • POL 511 Organizational Behavior in Educational Settings (Spring)


 



 


Online programs and courses are offered by the Departments and Colleges of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, in collaboration with the Division of Professional and Continuing Education and UMass Online.
