Women's & Gender Studies
The UMass Dartmouth Women's & Gender Studies Program offers two online programs. Both options focus on exploring women's experiences by placing women at the center of inquiry as subjects rather than objects. Courses integrate a variety of other fields of study into their curriculum such as economics, history, literature, political science and sociology.
This program allows students to complete their Bachelor of Arts degree through the Women's & Gender Studies Program. Along with core WMS classes, students concentrate in four areas of study: Gender Studies; Politics, Justice and Policy; Cross-Cultural Inquiry; and Arts and Letters.
This program allows students to enter into the field of Women's & Gender Studies and develop a fuller understanding of women's positions in society. Students investigate the broad spectrums of the women's movements and feminist theories.
The Undergraduate Certificate in Sustainability Studies provides students with a vigorous, multi-disciplinary introduction to the growing discourse surrounding "sustainability" and sustainable issues.
