Women's Studies
UMass Dartmouth's Women's Studies Program offers two online programs to students interested in the field of Women's Studies. Both options focus on exploring women's experiences by placing women at the center of inquiry as subjects rather than objects. Courses integrate a variety of other fields of study into their curriculum such as economics, history, literature, political science and sociology.
Women's Studies Degree Completion Program
This program allows students to complete their Bachelor of Arts degree through the Women's Studies Program. Along with core WMS classes, students concentrate in four areas of study: Gender Studies; Politics, Justice and Policy; Cross-Cultural Inquiry; and Arts and Letters.
Women's Studies Undergraduate Certificate Program
This program allows students to enter the field of Women's Studies and develop a fuller understanding of women's positions in society. Students investigate the broad spectrums of the women's movements and feminist theories.
Online programs and courses are offered by the Departments and Colleges of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, in collaboration with the Division of Professional and Continuing Education and UMass Online.
