Curriculum
- WMS 101: Introduction to Women's Studies
- WMS 201: Introduction to Feminist Theory
- One upper level feminist theory course (WMS 302: Global Feminism; WMS 305: Contemporary Feminist Theory and Practice; WMS 306: Third Wave Feminism; or WMS 307: Ecofeminism: Theory and Practice)
- One 300-level WMS elective in Humanities
- One 300-level WMS elective in Social Sciences
Total: 15 credit hours
9 out of the 15 undergraduate certificate courses must be at the 300 or 400 level

Students can complete the certificate online within two semesters. View our current schedule of online certificate courses offered from September 2009 to May 2011.
Students must earn a 2.0 GPA overall in the 5 course sequence in order to earn the Undergraduate Certificate in Women's Studies.
Online programs and courses are offered by the Departments and Colleges of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, in collaboration with the Division of Professional and Continuing Education and UMass Online.
