Matthew H. Roy is Assistant Provost and Director of the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He is also a Professor of Management having received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Rhode Island. His research interests are varied, but focus on international management, small group development, trust building, and communication strategies for organizational success. He has published and/or presented over 100 refereed scholarly manuscripts. He serves on the editorial board of several journals including the Journal of Community Engagement and Higher Education and Benchmarking: An International Journal.
Professor Roy is leading a five campus collaboration to increase the breadth and depth of community service learning performed by University of Massachusetts students. He is also the architect of the Leadership for Educational Attainment Developed Through Service (LEADS) program, designed to increase the civic engagement and leadership skills of Fall River and New Bedford public school students. Dr. Roy's efforts have resulted in UMass Dartmouth’s receiving recognition from the Carnegie Foundation and the President's Higher Education Honor Roll.

Deirdre Healy is the Assistant Director of the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Deirdre has more than 15 years of experience in the field of service and volunteering. Starting as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, Deirdre held staff positions with the Peace Corps and Corporation for National Service before joining UMass Dartmouth in 2001. Since her arrival, her responsibilities have included the development of many aspects of the civic engagement programming, including AmericaREADS, Alternative Breaks, Habitat for Humanity, various service-learning initiatives, and, most recently, our SouthCoast Serves Collaborative.
Deirdre received her Master's degree in Public Policy with a focus on civic engagement from UMass Dartmouth in 2009.

Gary Marden is the Civic Engagement Grant Coordinator at the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He manages numerous grants, including federal, state and foundation grants. He received his MBA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and is presently a Ph.D. doctoral student in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies program at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Attorney John F. Quinn is the Director of Graduate Public Service at the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. In that capacity, he works with graduate students and external partners to create internship and career opportunities across several academic disciplines, which include law, public policy, and marine science. Attorney Quinn teaches courses at the undergraduate level as well as at the law school in leadership and field placement. He also serves as the superviser of the law school's Public Interest Fellows program, which helps prepare and place law students in public interest internships and careers. As part of this program, he hosts and moderates a Public Interest Panel Discussion, held the first Thursday of the month, which exposes law students to various public service actors from across the state. Prior to working at the University, Attorney Quinn practiced law in Bristol County and served in the Massachusetts State legislature for 9 terms representing the Greater New Bedford Region.
Attorney Quinn received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, his Master's in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and his J. D. from Suffolk University School of Law. He is currently a Public Policy Ph.D. candidate at the University of Massachusetts Boston. He currently is serving on the YMCA's Board of Directors and the Bristol County Bar Association.

Kathryn Doan is the administrative assistant at the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from UMass Dartmouth in the spring of 2007.
