Our campus has Level 2 EV 48 AMP, 120V, 11.5KV charging stations in Lot 13, located by the access road of the Library and the Charlton College of Business.
- Parked vehicles in EV charging stations must be charging.
- All parking rules apply such as no overnight parking.
- There is a 4 hour maximum usage.
- EV Parking Hang must be displayed when your vehicle is charging to avoid parking violations.
Note: Vehicle must be moved when charge is complete or when the 4 hour maximum time has been reached. If your vehicle remains in the charging space beyond this allotted time you are subject to receiving a parking violation.
Frequently asked questions
Anyone with an electric or hybrid passenger or commercial vehicle is eligible for Electric Vehicle Parking Hang tag, per MassDOT Registry of Motor Vehicles Division. An EV Parking hang tag must be displayed at all times when the vehicle is in an EV Charging parking space to avoid parking violations.

If your vehicle is currently registered, visit the Parking office located with your vehicle registration for verification and EV approval.
Register your vehicle by emailing email@example.com. Attach an electronic copy of your vehicle’s registration for verification and EV approval. Once approved, a temporary PDF EV Parking plaque will be issued via email.
Only plug-in vehicles using the charging station may park in the designated spaces. A valid EV parking hang tag must be displayed.
Yes, there is a 4 hour maximum per vehicle. The electric vehicle owner is responsible for moving their car once the allotted time is reached. This will allow other EV owners access to the charging station.
If your vehicle is done charging it must be moved. This will allow other EV owners access to the charging station.
In case of inclement weather, EV drivers may be asked to move their cars to accommodate snow removal.
Alternate charging facilities
The system may require maintenance from time to time. While maintenance is expected to be brief, users should not rely solely on these chargers.
