The Evergreen/Beacon Initiative is an industry/educational collaboration among the Evergreen Center, Beacon Services, UMass Dartmouth Professional & Continuing Education and UMass Dartmouth Psychology Department. It seeks to provide high quality, convenient educational services for behavior analyst practitioners interested in earning a master's degree in Psychology concentrating in Applied Behavior Analysis and to prepare students to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) exam. In addition, this program provides career professional development opportunities to employees of these organizations, as well as to other non-affiliated professionals.
About The Evergreen Center:
The Evergreen Center is a residential school serving children and adolescents with severe developmental disabilities. The Center believes it is essential to build skills in the areas of communication, self-care and social interaction to successfully place students in less restrictive environments and enhance their quality of life.
Evergreen students live in local communities, supported by a caring staff. Each day they ride buses to and from school, and in their free time they shop, bank, dine, exercise and socialize in the community. The Evergreen Center has helped students achieve their maximum potential and has returned many individuals to their local communities.
