Computing & Information Technology Services
Technology is an integral part of the university student's experience. At UMass Dartmouth, student access to technology is provided and supported by the IT (information technology) department known as CITS, Computing and Information Technology Services. Below are just some of the services CITS provides in support of your academic and student life. Email
Email accounts are provided to every UMass Dartmouth student. This is an official
means of communication for UMass Dartmouth notifications, alerts, announcements
and events. You will receive notification regarding your UMD email account access
via the CITS Welcome Postcard. For additional information, call 508-999-8532

COIN
The Corsairs On-line Information system allows students to register for classes,
view class schedules, view billing information, and print academic transcripts.

Ruckus
Current UMass Dartmouth students have access to Ruckus, a leading digital multi-media
entertainment network, which offers free, safe and legal digital music downloads.
Students have access to more than 1.5 million music tracks and can set up personal
friend networks to share songs and entertainment interests with other students
of schools that subscribe to Ruckus. Current UMass Dartmouth students are eligible

Public Computing Facilities
More than 400 computers are available in public computing facilities located
in the Library (lower level) and in most classroom buildings. CITS provides
a variety of standard software applications on two computer platforms: Apple
Macintosh and PC compatibles. For assistance, visit the Help Desk located in
the Library lower level, call 508-999-8884 or send e-mail to itstudentcenter@umassd.edu.

Mobile Computing Loan Program (MCLP)
Students with a valid UMass Pass may borrow from a limited number of laptops,
and portable projectors from the MCLP. These short-term loans are available
via the Library's Circulation Desk located on the first floor.
