Student ID Information
How do I obtain a Student ID Card? Do I need one?
Every student must have a University Photo ID (UMass Pass). Students must bring a photo ID and class registration or student schedule (available online through COIN) to obtain an ID. You must obtain a University ID in order to:
- receive a parking permit
- take books out of the library
- to use materials placed on reserve
- to receive immunization shots at the Health Services Office
- to be admitted to the Athletic Center
- to obtain CITS services in the Residence Halls and Design Labs
- and to apply for and utilize book vouchers
You may have your photograph taken at the UMass Pass Office located in the Campus Center:

Monday - Friday 10 am-3 pm

Spring Hours:
Monday - Friday 9 am-4:30 pm
Special Hours: Friday, March 14 open 9 am - 3 pm.
CLOSED - March 17-March 21, 2008.
Fall Hours:
Monday - Friday 9 am-4:30 pm
During the first week of the semester: 9 am - 6 pm
During the second week of the semester: 9 am - 5:30 pm
Summer Hours:
Special Summer Hours: Open 9 am-6 pm on the first day of each summer session;
5/27, 6/2, & 7/7.
Monday - Friday 10 am - 3:00 pm
Excluding orientation and special requests.
If needed please call 508-910-6440 for an appointment. Additional services provided by this office: debit card services (UMD dollars),book vouchers, meal plan sign up and changes, parking permits, vending refunds, and door access will also be issued at this office. There will be a $25 fee to replace this photo ID. Cash, check, MC, and Visa are accepted.
UMass Pass Online
Students can manage their UMass Pass online at www.umassd.edu/umasspass. Students are able to use a MasterCard or Visa to add funds to their accounts, check balances, and deactivate a lost or stolen card. Additional services provided by this office include debit card services (UMD dollars), book vouchers, meal plan sign up and changes, parking permits, vending refunds, and door access. Cash, check, MC, and Visa are accepted.
