Campus Housing Information for Intersession 2007

Intersession/Winter Break housing applications are now available at your Residence Director's Office.

Residents approved for Intersession/Winter Break housing will be charged at the rate $140 per week. Room charges will be billed to student's UMD Bursar account. Note that students are billed by week, there is NO daily rate.

1.International students must provide written verification of their status from the International Student Center. Written verification must accompany this application and needs to specify starting date and ending date for the period they need to reside on campus.

2.Students enrolled in Intersession classes must maintain enrollment for entire Intersession period. A printed class registration schedule must accompany this application. Withdrawal from Intersession classes terminates eligibility for Intersession/Winter Break housing and students will be expected to return home until January 28th, when the Spring semester begins.

3.Students engaged in student teaching, internships, or co-op programs must provide written verification of enrollment from the academic department/faculty member sponsoring the program. Written verification must accompany this application and needs to specify starting date and ending date for Intersession/Winter Break commitments.

4.Students employed on UMD campus must provide written verification from their campus employment supervisor. Written verification must accompany this application and needs to specify starting date and ending date for Intersession/Winter Break employment.

5.Student Athletes and Student Leaders must provide written verification from a coach or advisor confirming their student athlete or leader status AND trainings/games/events that require their presence on campus. Written verification must accompany this application and needs to specify starting date and ending date for Intersession/Winter Break activities and obligations.

6.Students with extenuating circumstances must place their request in writing, outlining circumstances. The request must accompany this application. In addition, students must make an appointment to meet with their Resident Director to discuss individual circumstances. Approval is on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed.

7.Students who do not fall into the six categories listed above will not be allowed to return to their rooms until Spring semester begins.
