Computer Technician Program - Online

As a Computer Technician, you would:

- Install hardware and software systems

- Maintain or repair equipment

- Troubleshoot a variety of computer issues

Where do Computer Technicians work?

Computer technicians can be found working in a variety of industries. Possible positions range from a computer technician in a retail electronics store who helps repair hardware and software, to a technician support advisor who helps people over the phone with their computer issues, to a member of an internal IT team within large and medium sized companies.

How much do computer technicians earn?

Department of Labor reports that the middle 50% of professionals in the field earn between $37,000 and $62,000 a year.

Is the Computer Technician field growing?

The 2012-2013 edition of the Occupational Outlook Handbook, published by the U.S. Department of Labor estimates a growing  job market as industry employment is projected to grow by 18%, or over 110,000 new jobs, by 2020.
