The Department of Labor states there is a 29% shortage of Health and Fitness Professionals.
This certification course prepares each student to practice as a professional Personal Fitness Trainer. The course includes 16 hours of classroom learning, 16 hours of practical training, 4 hours of testing, and a 30-hour internship taught over 9 weeks for greater retention. Topics include anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing and health assessment, nutrition, exercise prescription, equipment usage, special populations, legal and safety issues.
