Biography
Don Honeman, Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management, was appointed to this new role in summer 2007. Responsible for leadership for Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Transfer Affairs, the University Enrollment Center and the Academic Resources Center, he coordinates the activities of the various campus participants engaged in implementing the University's enrollment strategies. He also chairs the Enrollment Management Team, a team of campus leaders whose roles intersect in the delivery of enrollment services to our students.
Don Honeman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the College of William & Mary and an MA in Education from George Washington University. Before arriving at UMass Dartmouth, he served in several enrollment management roles at the University of Vermont from 1990 until 2007. While at UVM he held positions as Dean of Enrollment Planning & Admissions, Director of Admissions & Financial Aid, and Director of Financial Aid. Honeman's career in enrollment management began at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, where he served as Director of Financial Aid. He spent the following decade at North Adams State College (since renamed Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts), where he was also Director of Financial Aid.
Don is a Trustee of the College Board, a position to which he was elected by New England members of the Board in 2005. He previously served as chair of the College Board's regional Financial Aid Division Advisory Committee and as its representative to the regional council of the College Board.
