Personnel Files

College policy should provide that:

  • Personnel files are to be maintained with the Dean of the College in a secure location.
  • Administrative files are to be locked.
  • The Dean or his/her designee must be present when a person is reviewing his/her personnel file.

Faculty are encouraged to review their personnel files at least once a year and they should initial new materials placed into their file.
