Take a Professor to Lunch

This program is sponsored by the Academic Affairs and Student Affairs divisions. The primary purpose of the program is to enhance the intellectual climate on the campus. The "Take a Professor to Lunch" program will allow for informal discussions between faculty and students. It is an opportunity for students to continue discussions that were begun in the classroom, to seek advice on ways to excel in their academic work and to obtain guidance on possible career choices. Faculty will also have the opportunity to hear from students about their academic expectations as well as about any obstacles they face in achieving their academic goals.

In order to apply, an interested student or group of students must fill out a "Take a Professor to Lunch" form which is downloadable from the Provost website. Students are eligible for the program once a semester. Faculty can participate as many times as they are invited. Completed forms must be submitted electronically to the Office of the Provost. Forms must be submitted no later than 5 business days before the planned luncheon. After being notified of approval, students can obtain lunch vouchers (which can be used in any dining facility on campus) from the Office of the Provost, Foster Administration Building, Room 315. After the lunch, students and faculty will be asked to submit a feedback form to the Office of the Provost. The purpose of the feedback forms is to help us improve the program.
