myUMassD: your own web portal
Just launched! myUMassD gives you access to key UMass Dartmouth systems from a single web portal. When you log into myUMassD, the information you need most will be at your fingertips: course syllabi, COIN, email, events, Corsairs scores, and more. New features coming soon.
Virtual computer lab
CITS now offers "anytime, anywhere" access to high-end software for math modeling, design, and data analysis through the Virtual Computing Lab (VCL). No need to find a campus computer lab at the library or an academic building. The VCL gives you access from your own laptop or desktop. Currently available: Microsoft Office Suite, Mathematica, and SPSS—with more to be added next semester.
Long-range wireless: UMass Dartmouth to the MAX!
You're working on your laptop in the middle of the quad, soaking up sunshine and knowledge—while connected to the campus network. Then, you hop on the bus to the Dartmouth Mall and stay connected for the whole ride. When you return and find a quiet corner of the Liberal Arts building to keep studying, you're still connected. It's possible—now that UMass Dartmouth has deployed WiMAX, the first university-based long-range wireless system on the East Coast (and second in the nation). Learn more
