Gubernatorial Forum ticket information

Online ticket request planned for noon on Thursday

On Thursday, November 2 at noon UMass Dartmouth will launch an online request system for tickets to the 2006 SouthCoast Gubernatorial Forum. A limited number of tickets will be distributed to students, faculty and staff based on a first-come-first-serve basis. This process is restricted to faculty, students and staff. The online request form will be posted at noon on Thursday. No requests received prior to noon on Thursday will be accepted. Participants will be required to use their UMassD log in username and password. Members of the UMass community who receive tickets will also be required to arrive at the auditorium by 7 a.m.

Tickets are being distributed to community members by the SouthCoast Alliance, a consortium of community organizations that formed to encourage the candidates to focus on important issues facing the SouthCoast.


UMass Dartmouth site of final face-to-face meeting of gubernatorial candidates Nov. 3

On Friday, November 3rd, 2006 all four candidates will participate in a gubernatorial forum that will focus on issues concerning Southeastern Massachusetts.  This forum is sponsored by “The Southcoast Alliance,” a consortium of community organizations and is hosted by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

The forum will be held in the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Main Auditorium and will begin promptly at 9 a.m. The doors for the debate will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 8:30 a.m. Due to expected heavy traffic, media are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 a.m. Media should park in Lots 6-7. Non-media attendees should follow the directions of security personnel.

For security purposes, this is a ticketed event with tickets being distributed by UMass Dartmouth and the SouthCoast Alliance.
