Campus Crime Information & Statistics

Jeanne Clery, used by permission from Security on Campus, Inc.The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 requires that colleges and universities publicize campus crime statistics and interim reports of serious crime incidents. These publicized statistics are meant to warn students, employees, and applicants of the prevalence of campus crime. Employees and students must be given interim crime reports which include statistics on murder, forcible sex offenses, non-forcible sex offenses, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny (theft), and motor vehicle theft. The annual report must also describe how to report crimes and emergencies on campus.
