What is the Residence Halls Council?

The Residence Halls Council is an advisory board to the Office of Housing and Residential Life. RHC actively participates in the policy making that affect all resident students at UMass Dartmouth. The board also actively works with the department of public safety, the University Food Services, as well as many administrators throughout the campus to improve the overall living quality and community of UMass Dartmouth.

The main purpose of RHC is to represent the views of the resident students to the University Housing administration. RHC also works to coordinate social, educational and community service programs and activities within the residence halls and Cedar Dell areas.

RHC is a member of the National and North East Association of College and University Residence Halls (NECURH & NEACURH). Each year RHC delegates are sent to represent the UMass Dartmouth Residence Halls Council at regional conferences. All RHC members are eligible to attend these events.

The Residence Halls Council meets every Thursday at 6:30 pm in the Student Conference Room above the Campus Center. Everyone who lives on campus are encouraged to attend the meetings. The RHC Office and Activity Center is located In the Roberts Residence Hall, next to the main lobby.
