Each residence hall for incoming first year students, features a different living-learning theme. Living-learning communities:
- increase awareness of opportunities and resources at UMass Dartmouth
- encourage participation in campus activities
- enhance academic, personal, and social success
About Our First Year Residence Halls
Each of the first-year halls is staffed with a live-in resident director (RD) and 14 resident assistants (RAs, who are upperclass students). All first-year halls are three stories high and offer suite-style living.
Maple Ridge Hall
Maple features the gym and grill.
Elmwood Hall
Elmwood features the tutoring center and res tech.
Chestnut Hall
Chestnut features a newly furnished lounge with wifi.
