Testing part 2: Not waiting for publishes.

This image is Categorised > Supporting Files > Layout Assets > Miscellaneous - anything not layout related.> image for sideslide 2. its file name is beach2.jpg. It has not yet been published out. (does not exist at http://www.umassd.edu/media/supportingfiles/layoutassets/miscellaneous-anythingnotlayoutrelated/beach2.jpg yet because no page has used it before.) It is a picture of a beach.

I am going to now (WITHOUT waiting a publish cycle) upload a file of a different name to the same Media Library item. It is now a picture of a globe.

Conclusion: Changing filenames before the media item has ever been put inside content and published has no negative effects, because the item does not actually exist outside of T4 yet.

Because I changed the file inside the media item to "study-abroad.jpg" before 1. publishing this content, and 2. using beach2.jpg in any other content, http://www.umassd.edu/media/supportingfiles/layoutassets/miscellaneous-anythingnotlayoutrelated/beach2.jpg will never exist unless I upload beach2.jpg again in the miscellaneous folder.
