The Second Half: Lifelong Learning Institute

Typical group of TSH participants

The Second Half is a learning community of adults in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We offer:

  • study groups
  • interest groups
  • trips
  • social events
  • special lectures

Our study groups and interest groups are determined and chosen by member interest every semester, and membership is open to all.

  • A fee of $25 per academic year makes you a full member.
  • A tuition of $120 per semester allows you to join two classes on any topic being offered.  Additional classes are $30 per class.

Most classes are held in downtown Fall River, at the Professional and Continuing Education Center on South Main Street. It boasts a cafe on the ground floor, and a parking garage nearby for easy access. A few classes are held off site. All classes are held during the day.
