AgNIC is a guide to quality agricultural information on the Internet as selected by the National Agricultural Library, Land-Grant Universities, and other institutions.

Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Areas
ATTRA is the national sustainable farming information center operated by the private nonprofit National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT). ATTRA provides technical assistance to farmers, Extension agents, market gardeners, agricultural researchers, and other ag professionals in all 50 states. Topics addressed by ATTRA can be categorized into three broad areas: sustainable farming production practices, alternative crop and livestock enterprises, and innovative marketing.

Northeast Organic Network
NEON is an innovative consortium of farmers, researchers, extension educators and grassroots nonprofits working together to improve organic farmers' access to research and technical support. Funded with a $1.2 million grant from the US Department of Agriculture's Initiative for Future Agriculture and Food Systems, this multi-state, multidisciplinary team will be conducting research and extension and education programs on organic agriculture throughout the Northeast.

UMass Agriculture and Landscape Program: Plant Problem Diagnostics
UMass Amherst recognizes the importance of reliable and prompt diagnosis of plant problems for the turf, floriculture, fruit, vegetable, nursery, urban forestry and landscapeindustries. We serve farmers, horiticulturists, landscape contractors, turf managers, arborists, nurseries, and tohers in agriculture and the green industries. Each diagnosis, made by the team, includes a written report with pest management strategies that are research based, economically sound and environmentally appropriate for the situation.
