Description:
The Rural Development office offers technical assistance through the Rural Business and Cooperative Development Service for the purpose of developing cooperative type businesses. Financial assistance is usually paired with this technical assistance. Financial assistance is delivered through three Agency programs administered by Rural Development – these include the Rural Utility Service, the Rural Business and Cooperative Development Service, and the Rural Housing Service. The Rural Business Service may be of assistance to area farmers who will integrate their farming operations with processing, and where loan funds will be used for the purchase of processing equipment and/or buildings.
