Description:
The Dukes County Conservation District works with the US Department of Agriculture and the University of Massachusetts Extension Service to provide planning and engineering assistance with soil, water and related natural resource protection and restoration activities.  It assists with the preservation of farms and farmland.  It can assist landowners with grant applications, and supports seminars on forest stewardship, Massachusetts Erosion and Sedimentation Prevention Guidelines, etc.  The District conducts annual seedling sales. Assistance is available to landowners, municipalities, and agriculture/aquaculture practitioners.
