Description:
The Plymouth County Conservation District’s purpose is to focus attention on land, water and related resource problems; develop programs to solve them; enlist and coordinate help from public and private sources; and increase awareness of the relationship between human activities and the natural environment.  The District provides technical assistance with conservation farm planning, conducts annual tree, shrub and bulb sale programs, and provides outreach to area elementary schools via the Soil Tunnel Project.  The District is governed by local citizens familiar with local problems; a seven-member Board of Supervisors is elected each December at the District’s Annual Meeting.
