Description:
Town Agricultural Commissions are created by citizens through their Town Meeting to represent farmers in their communities. The Commissions act to identify agricultural needs and solutions in areas such as land preservation, economic development, policy, and more. They serve as a voice for farmers in local government, preserving and promoting agricultural interests. The Commissions are also active within the farming community, providing mediation services, referral services, and social gatherings.
