The UMass Family Business Center (FBC) assists family companies to recognize common problems and find solutions to their unique challenges, including issues like succession planning and governance among family members. FBC offers owners and managers a comprehensive learning community, including presentations by experts in psychology, management, law, accounting, financial and estate planning, and banking. Businesses of any size that are owned and managed by at least one member of a family are eligible to join the Family Business Center. Benefits include attendance at all FBC programs for all family members in the firm, networking opportunities, access to the UMass Library system, quarterly newsletters (the Related Matters), and the expertise of members of the University's Corporate Partners Program. |
