Description:
The Southeastern Massachusetts Aquaculture Center (SEMAC) is a regional center supported by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, that was established to assist the aquaculture industry within the southeastern Massachusetts counties of Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Plymouth, and Nantucket.  The general mission of SEMAC is to identify and respond to current and future industry needs.  The Center's initiatives include a resource information network, technical assistance, training and educational workshops, research and development activities, an industry mini-grant program, business promotion, and marketing assistance.  An office for the center has been established at the Hurley Library at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
