The Dartmouth Grange No. 162 is a 501(c)(8) tax-exempt non profit organization that provides community support services. It is a local component of a national organization, The Order of the Patrons of Husbandry, the oldest Farm Family Fraternity in the Nation. The goal of the Dartmouth Grange is to improve the quality of life for farmers and the community through fellowship, service to others, and unity of action within a framework of fraternalism. The Grange Community Kitchen project is working to achieve this goal by providing a modern, certified kitchen for individuals or small entrepreneurs to process local produce. This opportunity will support farmers by connecting them more directly to the local markets, as well as by giving consumer and entrepreneurs more opportunities to support local agriculture.
