Description:
The Eastern Native Seed Conservancy’s purpose is the conservation of economically significant plants, especially food crops.  The Conservancy conducts seed trialing of heirloom crops: the Native Seeds Project focuses on Native American crops, and an Heirloom Tomato Field Project is underway.  It offers advice and assistance regarding heirloom varieties, specialty niche crops, product development, and outlets for heirloom tomato and other heirloom crops.  The Conservancy conducts food tastings and holds special events.
