The American Farmland Trust (AFT) works to stop the loss of productive farmland and to promote farming practices that lead to a healthy environment.  AFT’s action-oriented programs include public education, technical assistance in policy development, and direct farmland protection projects.  Membership:  AFT currently has over 35,000 members nationwide, and almost 6000 members in New York and New England
