The Massachusetts Writing Project

The Massachusetts Writing Project (MWP) is a statewide network of National Writing Projects. These include the Boston Writing Project, the Buzzards Bay Writing Project, and the Western Massachusetts Writing Project. As a network, the MWP offers professional development, spearheads educational initiatives, and works closely with the Massachusetts Department of Education on projects such as the recent facilitation of Understanding Open Response: Working with NCS Mentor, a statewide program designed to instruct educators in the use of software developed to help prepare students for the MCAS open response questions.
