Journey into Education and Teaching
|
Sharon Babb: When I found out about the JET program and the Paraprofessionals Teacher Preparation Grant, I thought this was exactly what I needed to fulfill my aspirations. |
Tricia Cabral: I want to become a teacher because it is like helping your child learn to walk. It is the best feeling in the world. |
Jason Cruz: I decided I needed to go to college after all. I thought back to my teachers and councilors and decided to teach. I would show other disadvantaged youth a positive future for themselves. |
Brenda Francisco: I can remember my kindergarten teacher asking each of us what we wanted to be when we grew up. My answer was a teacher. Over the next 13 years I had many experiences that fueled this desire. |
Karen LePage: I feel that it is time for me to take my education to the next level, which would be to become a teacher. |
Karen Mello: I believe that teachers do not just teach their students academics, but also give them the tools they need to continue in their life's journey. |
Lisa O'Brien: I welcome the opportunity the work in a high need Massachusetts school. I am very much looking forward to expanding my knowledge through the Jet program. |
Christine Rodrigues: I have always worked in a special education room, mostly as a classroom aide. I enjoy what I do, and I'm always trying to better myself with education. |
Lisa Romanowicz: With the inner peace I felt as a child, I will be honored to provide a listening ear, a compassionate face and a good shoulder to lean on for every child in my path. |
