The Department of Public Policy is an academic unit of the School of Education, Public Policy, and Civic Engagement (SEPPCE), which is a part of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. We offer a graduate program that leads to a Master of Public Policy (MPP) with the following concentrations:

Our graduate programs in public policy are meant to prepare students for careers in the public arena. Our graduate certificate programs provide a foundation in public policy principles with specialization courses in either education or environmental policy. Our MPP program prepares students for careers in a variety of policy-related fields including: management, planning, policy analysis, and program evaluation. Graduates work in a variety of sectors, both public and private. Recent graduates have gone on to work for government, non-profits, private organizations, and consultant organizations.

Reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of public policy, our faculty expertise draws from the fields of economics, environmental science, political science, public administration, law, sociology, and public policy. Most faculty members hold full-time appointments in the Department and share a strong commitment to the students and program.
