Registration Information
- Register through COIN You may enroll for courses on COIN anytime after you are accepted to the program. For information on COIN please visit www.umassd.edu/COIN.
- Register at the Enrollment Center You may enroll at the enrollment center located on the first floor of the Foster Administration Building (Lot 6). There are several ways to register:

Section Numbers
01/02- Full time day sections for full-time day students or graduate students on assistantships.
8101/9101- Part time Continuing Education sections for part-time students. The Southcoast Education compact is available on all Continuing Education sections.
7501- Blended coures offered through Continuing Education
7101- Fully online courses offered through Continuing Education.
Southcoast Education Compact
If you are working full-time in a local school district you may be eligible for a tuition discount on all courses towards licensure offered through Professional and Continuing Education. You must present a letter from your principal indicating that you are a full-time employee on school letterhead. This letter must be submitted at the time of registration. No retroactive waivers will be issued. An updated letter must be submitted each time you register.

Financial Aid
To be eligible for financial aid you must meet the following criteria:
1. Accepted to a degree or certificate program.
2. Complete a Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.edu.gov/.
3. Register for at least 6 credits per semester.
4. Submit a deferment form along with your registration form to enrollment.

Federal Teach Grant
Through the College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007, Congress created the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program that provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who intend to teach in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families.

You must complete a Federal TEACH Grant Application and return to Traci Almeida, Liberal Arts Building, Room 373.
