The National Shellfisheries Association has named SMAST graduate student Katherine Thompson the winner of the 2012 Gordon Gunter Award for the outstanding student poster presentation at the association’s 104th annual meeting in Seattle in March.
The winning poster, "Identifying Spawning Events of the Sea Scallop, Placopecten magellanicus, on Georges Bank" was co-authored by Susan Inglis and Prof. Kevin Stokesbury.
The award is accompanied by a one-year free membership to the NSA.
