
The family and friends of the late Ethel Ramos Harris, concert pianist, composer and teacher, are offering a competitive prize to an entering third year student at a conservatory or collegiate school of music. This gift will be presented to a student whose piano performance exemplifies the consummate musicianship of Mrs. Harris via the ETHEL RAMOS HARRIS ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FUND.
The total value of the prize is US$ 20,000 (twenty thousand dollars) and will be awarded in three parts as follows:Auditions via videotape must be provided by the applicant and will be judged by a panel of classical musicians, music faculty and family members whose decision will be final (including the right not to award). The award will be presented in Washington, DC.
