So it works!
A propos, I read about travelling to Cabo Verde through
Dakar: it is possible, it's even cheaper with Alitalia,
from Europe, but you'll have to spend the night in Dakar,
which can be nice...While in Sao Vicente don't miss Chez Loutchia restaurant
on Wednesday and Friday night, with live music,
very nice group that's also appearing on Sunday afternoon
for the beach buffet in Calhau, highly recommanded!Boa Dia!

I've got an idea: medium-lenght comments! So I was in Cabo Verde for three week
and I'm ready to give advice on travelling in the
sotavento (sal-s.nicolau-s.vicente-s.antao) to anyone asking
especialy about planes (book in advance to be sure to get a seat
- they are small ATR and Twin Otter), boats (get your
sea sickness pills before embarking or at least a plastic bag)
and taxi/aluguer...

As a lover of the Portugese culture, I have bin several times to Portugal, and the Azores. Last winter, we have visited one of the islands of Cabo Verde.
It was marvellous. Next Year, we (my wive, me and the tree children.) want to go back to Cabo Verde. The problem is that your islands are not known in little Belgium
There is no information avalable exept via German organisations. So if you have some notes, paperbacks, brocures, or E-mails. Please sent them to me, because I'am very interested.
I don't want to see the touristical "hot shots", but I like to know the real people, the real culture, the real nature.Greetings.

I signed before, but then noticed the my entire
message wasn't clearly noted. As I was saying,
I am getting my B.A. in African Studies and plan
to go on (september 1997) to get a Master's in
International Affairs from Columbia University.
I was just browsing and decided to head towards
"African Diaspora" and here I ended up. I am
interning with an African Diaspora center in NY -
my main responsibility to connect with Afro-Latino
organizations in South/Central and Caribbean America.
I'll be going to Cape Verde - at the latest in January
of 1997.I enjoy learning all I can about the entire Diaspora.
I would enjoy using this e-mail thing to meet new
people - so everyone feel free to contact me!

I am truly enjoying your page! I am getting a B.A. in African Studies and in September 1997 hope to be accepted for the Master's in International Affairs program at Columbia University. My focus will be African, Economic and Political Development. Currently interning with an African Diaspora center in New York - since July 95 - and working on an Afro-Mundo project. This project is a group of Afro-Latino organizations of South/Central/Caribbean American gathered together to celebrate their African Heritage and to connect with the continent. I am always reaching out, so you're welcome (I hope you do) to write back to me!
