Welcome to Spotlight Program
Coordinator Trace Holmes gets things started for the students. In a separate session, parents are invited to discuss Spotlight (and high school students in general) with Donna Dimery, Spotlight Group Leader and Principal of Dartmouth High School.

African Dance and Music
Learn about African culture with UMD Music Professor Royal Hartigan and master dancer Kwabena Boateng.

September 27

Computer Applications to Human Disabilities
Learn how computer technology can assist those with disabilities. Dr Les Cory, Professor of Electrical Engineering at UMD, and Linda Texceira.

October 04, 11, 25 and November 01

Take One 4-week Mini-Course:
Participants take one course for four weeks. Classes held in assigned rooms/laboratories/studios throughout the campus.

Professional storyteller
Tom McCabe talks about the risks and rewards of pursuing nontraditional careers, and performs some of his favorite stories.

From Page to Stage
Jarrad Nunes, founder of New Bedford YouthREP, talks about the process of presenting a theatrical production. See live demonstrations by the UMass Dartmouth Theatre Company and make your own stage debut!

Harry Johnson, former Director of Communications for the Polaroid Corporation, discusses the challenges of sharing our diversity and respecting our differences.
