Notes: UMass Dartmouth's Mike Rahme hit a game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth and Jason Orlando's single brought home the game-winner in the tenth inning as the Corsairs took the first game of a Little East Conference doubleheader by a 4-3 score.

Plymouth State scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning on a single by Jon Albertini, a double by Scott Hodgson, a single by Matt Price and a single by Jay Zinis. But the Panthers left the bases loaded when Jason Daley came on in relief of Corsair starter Pat Reedy (7 innings, 3 runs, 3 earned runs, 0 BB, 3KO). Daley benefitted from one of three Corsair double plays in the game.

After Rahme tied the game to open the ninth, UMass Dartmouth scored the game-winner in the tenth on a single and stolen base by Mike Dougan and Orlando's line drive single. Daley picked up the win to improve his record to 1-1. The Panthers had 14 hits on the day but left nine runners on base. Jeff Morgan took the loss for Plymouth State in releif of Nate Provencher

Notes: UMass Dartmouth scored 12 runs in the first four innings and cruised to a 16-3 victory in the second game of the LEC doubleheader against Plymouth State College. The victory improves the Corsairs to 7-8 on the season and 2-0 in the LEC. The Panthers fall to 3-9 and 0-2 in the LEC.

Geoff Nettleton led the Corsairs with 4-5 and 4 RBI, including a home run and three runs scored. Jason Devincent went the distance to pick up the win, allowing 7 hits in 8 innings to even his record at 1-1 on the season.

UMass Dartmouth will play its next game this Tuesday, April 2 when the Corsairs host Amherst College in a non-conference game, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
