2-2-1 Teddy Bear

Performed by Crissy Ferreira (top),
and the NECA Performance Team,
featuring members (past, present, and future) from UMD.

All New England Open Cheerleading
Competition at WNEC in Springfield, MA)

Also known as a 2-2-1 high stradle, the Teddy Bear is one of the more difficult 2-2-1 pyramids, and also one of the most dangerous (be sure to have spots in back - the top can easily fall backwards from up top). Here, Crissy is tossed up from in front. This is an advanced building approach. For beginners, start from a half extension, have the second layer people set their grips, and then push her up.
