This is the first of three dances in the competition routine. Dancing allows cheerleaders to give attitude which adds excitement to the routine. In back, a bow and arrow is put up to add variety while the dance is going on. Two all-girl extensions with a coed extension in the middle were used to end the first music segment in the competition routine. Extensions are a basic stunt, but are used frequently in competitions because they are easy to put up. In competition, difficulty is nice to have, but only if the stunts are going to hit. Extensions are also good to use for transitional stunts.
