UMD performed one last time as they competed in the Grand Championship. All the winners from each division compete against each other in a Best of the Best to see who is the top squad. The Grand Champs was held directly after the Coed Division IA Finals on the same day as the Division Finals (Saturday, April 3, 1999).

UMass Dartmouth performed first and stunned the audience with a 8.35, which placed them third overall. The University of Maryland All-Girl squad went next, followed by Miami Dade Community College, Georgia College, and Florida Atlantic University. The Univeristy of Louisville Coed team did not compete a second time because they had just performed 30 minutes earlier. The score from their Division Finals was used.
